What is the StuMeTa?

A yearly conference for meteorology students - organised by meteorology students. This year's StuMeTa will be in the last week of May (28.05 - 02.06) in Hamburg.

Why should I come to the StuMeTa?

The StuMeTa is the highlight of the year for meteorology students! Meet meteorology students from other cities, get input about hot topics, get hands-on experience, learn about job opportunities and discover Hamburg in Spring.

When will the registration open?

On 23 February 18:00 CEST. It closes two weeks later, on 9 March 18:00 CEST.

How expensive is a ticket?

The ticket costs 70€ and includes participation in all events, accomodation and food. A T-shirt is sold separatly.

I cannot come, what do I do?

Send us an email! We will refund the participation fee and T-shirt price upon two weeks perior to the event. Afterwards, please find a new participant by yourself.

I did not receive a response to my application?

Results to registrations will be send out 1-3 days after the registration period ends. If you did not receive an email with results within 3 days, send us an email as soon as possible!

Do I have to pay for the trip to Hamburg by myself?

Yes, we do not cover the travel costs to Hamburg. But it might be possible that your home university can cover the travel costs, ask your local student council!

Do I have to pay for the public transport in Hamburg?

No, we assume most participants have a Deutschlandticket. If you do not have the Deutschlandticket, we will get public transport tickets for you.

How do I get to Hamburg?

We recommend travelling by train 🚂

What and where is the accomodation?

The gym and classrooms from a school nearby. They are in walking distance from the event location.
